Conference - An alliance against prejudices, an alliance for knowledge. Together for innovation and sustainability
Agriculture over the last 30 years has seen major changes. Today, agricultural production techniques increasingly need fewer resources: fewer technical products and fewer natural resources such as water and land. Agriculture today has strong bonds with innovation, protects the environment and enjoys a close relationship with the local area - yet is also an agriculture that must ensure appropriate income. Agriculture is called upon to tackle increasingly pressing and global challenges requiring an overall vision in the agro-food value chain, while agriculturists - the first player in this context and one of the driving forces in the Italian economy - has to recover the role of businessmen warranting the quality of agro-food products and the functional operation of the entire chain. This is why some of the most important players in the agro-food value chain have decided to sign and present at FierAgricola in Verona a joint document providing a snapshot of agro-foods today and, especially, highlighting the principles that will guide agro-foods in the near future.
